Mary
possesses fantastic pitch and range as well as the charisma and intensity the band was looking for. She has performed
with Tight Grip, The Vibe, After Five, Twist! and Disco Inferno. She loves singing all styles of music,
and her varied influences cover artists such as Steve Perry, Lou Gramm, Donna Summer, Faith Hill, and Ann Wilson.
Starting at the age of 13, Scott was a natural
talent and it wasn't long before he was receiving offers to join bands. He has played in various local bands, most recently
Bill, Cleveland's tribute to Metallica. Scott and Chris have been playing in bands together off and on since they were
teenagers. His influences of John Bonham, Neil Peart and Steve Smith, to name a few, are evident in his playing.
Bob is a seasoned veteran of the Cleveland music circuit. Playing in various local bands
in the early to mid-80's, he eventually settled down to start a family. The "musical itch" got the best of him and,
in 1995, formed the basis for Anthem with Chris and Scott. Bob often sites Geddy Lee and Victor Wooten as his most prominent
influences.
Bob's son Robert (Dub) was enlisted
to help fill in the gaps in Bobz Bad Habit. Dub is a gifted young guitarist who is also blossoming as a keyboard
player. His contribution to the band was immediately felt as the arrangements for songs that once sounded empty began to sound
the way they were intended. Dub is a big Rush fan from his father's days in Anthem. He is greatly influenced by Joe
Satriani, Neal Schon and Eddie Van Halen.
Starting out on drums at age 11, Chris soon switched
to guitar. He played in various local bands through the early to mid-90's even trying his hand at original music. Chris
is an extremely talented musician who still writes music and records at home. His influences include Jimmy Page, Eddie
Van Halen, Alex Lifeson and Steve Vai among others.
Sam had learned to play keys by ear at an early age as he watched his Nana
(grandmother for all you non-Italians) rock out on her portable organ. He was writing original material
in his first band "Bad Attitude" at age 15 which placed 3rd as the youngest talent in a local
Battle of the Bands Competition. He later moved on and joined original bands - "911" and
"Blue Knight" in the early 90's. In 1997, he took a sabatical to raise
a family... but with his wife's support, his children's inspiration, and a little WD40...he is now joining forces
with "Bobz Bad Habit" to rock out Cleveland's music scene once again. Although
a big fan of the 80's "Big Hair" bands, his influences include such greats as Journey, Styx, and Van Halen. He is devoted to perfection when it comes down to hammerin'
the keys.
